Located in the deprived Vallecas area of Madrid, Tajamar was started over 40 years ago to educate children of poor families in the area in technical skills. It has since become one of the most prestigious educational establishments in the city, especially the department of Graphic Arts. The school has excellent sports facilities (football, basketball, baseball, tennis, athletics, etc.), and the Sports Club at Tajamar has provided and continues to provide athletes to compete in Spanish and International competitions.
