How to apply

NEA Gap Year is a non-profit making initiative aiming to offer a variety of opportunities for social and educational projects in different countries.

Volunteers must be 18 years old by the time the application is completed. No applications will be considered from applicants under 18. In many cases no experience of social work is required, but applicants should check the specific requirement of the project before making an application.

If you would like to apply to one or more projects included in the NEA Gap Year scheme, you can download the application form from this page in Word or PDF format. You should send the application back to NEA. Once the application has been received, a personal interview with a representative from NEA Gap Year will be arranged. After the interview, the details are sent to the Institution in question who have the final say on the acceptance of the candidate.
